EMDR

Most people experience some level of distress in their lifetime that interferes with or keeps them from living their fullest life. Reaching out for help is a courageous first step to regaining a sense of control.

Finding a therapist that you connect with and trust is essential to getting the most out of treatment. My goal is to offer a welcoming and non-judgmental space for you to feel safe exploring your feelings, thoughts and experiences. My role is to provide support, tools and guidance to help alleviate the negative impact of trauma, chronic stress, anxiety, and depression. Through this process clients have been able to heal old wounds, identify and modify negative thinking patterns, improve self-esteem, and learn skills to promote healing.

In addition to traditional talk therapy, I utilize approaches that highlight the connection between the mind and body, specifically how negative experiences and emotions are stored in the body and how this can affect your overall wellbeing.

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy is a psychotherapy method that has been proven through extensive research to help people recover from trauma and other distressing life experiences. The goal of EMDR is to resolve these traumatic experiences that have been stored in the brain in order to move beyond the distressing memory, and reduce the negative impact on daily functioning.

INSURANCES

I am currently accepting Green Mountain Care, NH Medicaid, Medicare, MVP, and Blue Cross Blue Shield. I also accept self-pay clients who do not have insurance or choose not to use their insurance benefits.
